T-Mobile Garminfone (nuvifone A50) is official

The T-Mobile Garminfone, the T-Mo version of the Asus Garmin nuvifone A50, is official and it's coming soon. It's an Android phone with a talent for navigation - bringing the best of both worlds, smartphones and dedicated SatNav units.

The T-Mobile Garminfone comes with Garmin's navigation solution preinstalled. It supports driving, walking and public transport navigation and can even guide you back to where you parked the car. The phone comes with the North America maps preloadrd in its 4GB of internal memory (expandable by up to 32GB through the microSD card slot).

The T-Mobile Garminfone has a 3.5" HVGA capacitive touchscreen and supports multiple positioning methods. There's lane guidance, traffic and weather information, gas prices and other things you'd expect from a proper SatNav unit.

It also has 3G connectivity with HSDPA, Wi-Fi, a 3MP camera with geo-tagging and all the goodies that its Android OS usually offers(Android Market, doc viewer, etc).

The Garmin Voice Studio app will be included with the T-Mobile Garminfone - it lets you record the voices of friends and family, to serve as voice commands.

Also included in the package will be a window and dashboard mount, which charges the battery.

The T-Mobile Garminfone is coming soon to T-Mobile USA - you can sign up to be notified when it becomes available.
