Top 10 phones of the week

Peter, 31 July, 2016

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 reigned for another week as the Top trending phone in our database. Its days may be counted, however, as the Xiaomi Redmi Pro is gunning for its position.

A premium version of the Note 3, the Redmi Pro upgrades the 5.5" 1080p screen to AMOLED, adds a second camera for bokeh effects and upgrades the Helio X10 chipset to X20 or X25 depending on version. It depends on how much storage you get - it starts at 32GB and ends at 128GB.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) is rising fast on the back of its Smart Glow ring notification light. It leaped from 9th to 4th. The Galaxy J2 Pro (2016) is following closely. It adds a bit of RAM and doubles the storage for a total of 2GB and 16GB respectively.

The Moto G4 Plus is losing ground, it went from 3rd down to 6th. The Galaxy J3 (2016) is sliding too, the new J2s have already passed it.
