Top 10 trending phones of week 16

George, 24 April, 2016

The Samsung Galaxy J-series' rule in our Top 10 trending chart continues for another week. For the third time in a row it's the Galaxy J3 (2016) in the top spot and last year's J7 joins it in second - a very close second, too.

But even if we are sort of used to this top duo, this week's chart is memorable for Samsung's affordable lineup for another reason. There's a total of 4 J-series models on the trending list, two from last year, and two of the (2016) lineup.

It's the Galaxy J5 that we find in 4th, where it seems to have settled after climbing one spot from the 5th it held two weeks ago. And the top of the line J7 (2016) enters the chart in 9th - not exactly by storm, but we do expect it to work its way to the top eventually, if the original J7's continued rule is any indication.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has made it to the podium, 4 spots up from last week's 7th - the biggest jump of the week. The Xiaomi Mi 5 is also moving up, and we find it in 6th in this edition. The Galaxy S7 is stuck in fifth, its fancier edge brother is one up, this time in seventh, while the HTC 10 has dropped into 8th. The Lenovo Vibe K4 Note returns too, after being absent for a couple of weeks.

I haven't seen Samsung advertisement for a while (in UK). Network providers do advertise their plans and deals with the phones but I hardly seen one from Samsung itself. At least nothing like crapples - "we changed the world again, by releasing 3 yea...
