Top 10 trending phones of week 38

Chip, 22 September 2019

Last week it was Apple's event that shaped our trending chart and this time it's Huawei's turn to rock the boat.

The newly unveiled Huawei Mate 30 lineup dominated the spotlight, capturing four of the top 5 positions. Despite the uncertainty caused by the lack of a Google license, the phablets are certainly exciting and many would clearly want to know more about them.

Last week's leader Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max managed to split the Mate 30 versions, with the next best placed non-Huawei phone also being part of the new Cupertino family - the vanilla 11 is sixth.

Samsung's Galaxy A50 has dropped two spots to seventh, but that's still a better performance than most other participants on the chart from last week.

Redmi's Note 8 Pro is now down to eight, but it still manged to overtake the iPhone 11 Pro, which was flying as high as second last week.

The final spot goes to another phone returning to the top 10 - Realme XT, which pushed the likes of Samsung Galaxy A90 5G, Sony Xperia and Xiaomi Mi A3 off the chart. The Nokia 7.2 and Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ are the other two to miss out this time around.
