I have one of these phones, very user friendly and the battery as good performance. Not big on standby time but good on real life usage.
Unfortunately it was a disaster. Worst buy ever for me and why? Simply because it can't cope with the humidity of the Azores Islands. After only 3 months of usage the keyboard was completely mess up, due to moist.

The main problem with this phone is the very low volume from the speaker. And this is a VERY BIG problem. It is a mobile phone after all and not hearing the phone because you are in the next room it is really bad. There is also NO led or something to indicate that you lost a call. I have gone back to my old Siemens CF62. You can't miss a call with that one. Very loud speaker and so many leds that looks like a Christmas tree if you miss a call.
Thank God there is Opera mini and Toshiba is going to be used as a cheap mobile internet solution.

I hve used Toshiba phones, once had Ts605, now with Ts608, they are good, nice designs, but the battery is disaster.

I'm not so satisfied from this phone, because his software its too bad, he is restarting often, if you drop him, he's turning off at the same moment, it's slow, like turtle and the battery is disaster. But i can't say nothing about design.

Good:
*It got bluetooth 1.2 and J2ME MIDP 2.0
*Can take video(3gp format) and photos(jpeg)
MIDPSysInfo Java program works! You can check info for your mobile!
Not good:
Bluetooth and Java:
*No bluetooth API for Java applications:
bluechat and valhallachat programs do not work!
If you want to chat you must stick to regular bluejacking!(device name change, or sending address book contact with intended message)

toshiba phone is absolutely perpect 4 me. so far an a+ rating. now i have 2 toshiba phones ( ts605 & my latest ts30) frm h.k. i love this toshiba phone its users friendly.

i cant put song ot picure bigger than 350 kb in the memory card whyyy???

For the 350 kb mp3 you can put memory card microSD with 1 GB and you will transfer mp3 bigger than 350 kb.That's all.
