Twitter adds Night mode to Android app

Prasad, 29 June, 2016

After years of people asking for it, Twitter has finally added a Night mode option in its app.

The option has currently only been spotted in the Android version, with iOS availability not yet known. The option appears as a server side update provided you have one of the recent updates installed with the new Material Design UI. The switch gives the app a slick dark blue appearance, which is far easier on the eyes and also on the battery if you have an AMOLED display. There is no way to automate the day-night switch for now but that seems to be asking too much from Twitter.

I personally don't have the option yet and it's likely most of you won't either, so we will just have to wait for a while till it rolls out to everyone.

Played around it. Still not as good as the one for windows 10 mobile. For once I think an app is better on windows haha. I just prefer all black. http://i.imgur.com/RI8bnfP.jpg

I had night mode since the dev apk. .

I'm already reading this in night mode. Glad it comes to twitter too and not only browsers.
