Anonymous, 29 Sep 2024>SD card, if you're lucky enough for it to last 10 ... moreI'm currently at a 60% failure rate despite exclusively using recognised brands like SanDisk and Kingston. I wasn't doing RPi OS duties on them either, they were only used for files on a phone and a drone camera and still died for seemingly no reason at all. Happy yours work fine, but I personally can't trust anything I put on these to still be there when I need to access it, so while I still have to use them for cameras I can't trust it for anything on my phone.

Anonymous, 21 Oct 2024Bro it aint matter that much. I see iphone xs used in 2024,... morePretty sure it'll last like 4 years; just don't use fast charging or the battery is cooked. I have BV9200 and 65w is pretty rough. Tho if the phone is screwed together you can replace battery with ease

You put them in your handbag or mount it on your bike. You wanna have a good phone or you want iPhone? 20 years ago people had heavier wallets then this phone and they had it in their back pocket. I have 26 Ultra and I can have it in my pocket, but nowdays only kids stuff their pockets with everything they carry. You want your phone with your keys and coins in your pocket? Why? Get a shoulder bag for men so you never again have to feel like some kid loosing half of his life belongings when trying to catch a bus.

Anonymous, 29 Sep 2024>SD card, if you're lucky enough for it to last 10 ... moreSame with me. The only reason one of my old microSD cards died is because it's a cheap clone. Since then, I bought the original genuine product with a factory-backed warranty and never looked back. My current microSD card is the entry-level Kingston 512GB unit for my LG V50 that I bought two years ago, and it still never miss a beat.

Make it UFS 4 and this will be my next phone. A worthy upgrade to my legendary Poco f1.

Anonymous, 21 Sep 2024I'm conflicted on this one, and it's for the same... more>SD card, if you're lucky enough for it to last 10 minutes
in my 15 years of using microSD, i have never had a single card corrupt or fail (with the exception of a scammy one i bought on ebay in 2015, just because the prospect of 1tb for $30 bypassed the logical part of my brain and went straight for the dopamine receptors—and because i knew full-well about how little things actually cost to manufacture, but yeah)
i had, in 2016, found a 2gb card on the literal sidewalk that still worked. it was february, and i live in canada—the card was covered in (probably salty) water, surrounded by snow. it had some dude's photos on it—no identifying info to return it to him, though.
the "corruption card" meme and all similar sentiment seems like a farce, from my perspective—microSD strikes me as highly durable, for something you only ever have out to swap between phones. maybe anyone else who has had them has gotten really unlucky—or had just straight-up bought a fake card.

But I don't think so because none of their other phones have updated to the next android level. That's most unfortunate. I think phones should allow at least one update to the next android.

But based on past experience , I don't expect updates other than to fix software bugs. That's the one issue I have with these phones. If they had updates, they'd be nearly perfect.
