Today I will review the 256gb 8+8 variant of the Note 16 pro.

This phone surprises me at every turn given I had to downgrade from an s22 ultra for budget reasons, the price at 200.00 CAD is very fair and for a entry level/budget phone, it punches way above its belt; I've had the phone for a little over a month now and it's still snappy and responsive. I love the 8+8 ram option which seems to work very well. And the battery carries me almost as far as the battery did on my s22 ultra. I'll start with the pros of this phone:
    P̳R̳O̳S̳
    $200 CAD ~ $180USD
    Light weight
    Large HD screen*
Snappy even with a budget processor (unisoc)
8+8 ram option (using SSD memory paging as ram)
    Stock Android with no bloatware
Comes with useful app tool kit
Comes boxed with screen protector already mounted
Comes with a free clear case
Cameras are decent for a budget phone
Android 13 and receives periodic security updates
    3.5mm headphone jack 😍
And a decent battery with 10w fast charge which actually charges pretty quickly and lasts quite a while.

    AND NOW...

    T̳H̳E̳ ̳C̳O̳N̳S̳
    It doesn't have wireless charging
    No NFC
The screens brightness can have some trouble in direct sunlight, and it's only 720p HD.
    Not 5G capable
Not 4.5G (LTEA OR LTE+) capable

Overall, it's a great phone for the price and so far so good. The fact that it's only basic LTE capable hasn't actually been a barrier for me since it always seems to get a decent connection and I'm always over 25mbps, and even when it goes to 3G it's still pretty quick usually around 10mbps.

4.5 out of 5 definitely recommend if you need a phone with plenty of storage on a budget.

Styling wise, it's obviously an iPhone Pro copy - the colors, frame, lines and camera island etc. However, replacing the third lens at the apex of triangle with a flash, kinda gives it away.

There are better copies out there, such as Oukitel C32, Cubot P80, Realme C53.

DarlingYext, 08 Jun 2023"tiny bit better in some way. Battery, Megapixels, 8G... moreThe 128GB variant of the cheapest iPhone, SE 2022, costs 5 times as much as this phone. Is the iPhone SE 5 times as good as this Ulefone?

Apparently the iPhone doesn't have 5x the storage nor battery life. Quantitatively the only area it comes somewhat close to 5x are synthetic performance benchmarks like Antutu (~725k vs 230k). Yea the iPhone is better in some areas, but functions and value don't scale linearly with price.

Saw the 8+128GB variant selling for $100. One of the cheapest phones with 8 gigs of RAM around.

Obviously there are compromises - the Unisoc T606 processor,720p 60Hz screen, slow eMMC storage etc. Nevertheless it looks like a pretty decent deal.

Cpt.Power, 08 Jun 2023Well yes. Honestly agree with you. I just noticed "Stereo FM radio, RDS, recording", I haven't seen these features on any other phone before, in fact I don't even know what RDS means, but I guess these could be important to some.

Battery, Megapixels, 8GB ram, maybe durability, SD slot and jack."

While megapixels do matter, if the sensor size is small, which it is here, they are mostly worthless, the SOC and the ISP that comes with it can help a small sensor, which was true for Google's past flagships and definitely isn't true when it comes to this Unisoc powered budget phone. Battery size is one thing, but again without optimization and an efficient SOC, it's worthless. Same with the 8GB ram, especially because iPhone's never needed a lot of RAM to run well.

SD card slot and headphone jack are great for the people that still care about those, but that's about the only extra that this phone has over iPhones.

I'd say for about a 100 USD this is a great budget, entry level phone, anything over that, just get a Realme C53.

Thanks for this phone. Why? In the related page there's iPhone 12.
