Best phone Umidigi ever made, but even this one has issues. Loudspeaker started failing within a few months, and the fingerprint scanner fails. Photos are ok but a bit noisy in low light. I've had one for 5 years, use it as a back up phone.

until this day phone is perfectly fine for simple user..everything works as on day 1 and battery still lasts one day with ease
Camera isnt best but its satisfying looking at price of 200e when bought. If it had top camera it can compete to 1k phones easily. Never updated it and still works like on day one.

- Fingerprint scanner stopped working after 6 months
- Around the same time, phone speaker also went dead for calls, and only the loudspeaker works (same thing happened to a family member with the same model)
- Everything else was ok, great battery life, average camera.
Umidigi is not built for durability; it seems most of their devices start breaking down after a few months of use

This phone is o.k i expected much more. I have a umidigi F1 the phone is o.k as a daily phone till I was connected to my smartwatch. The Bluetooth keeps dropping and not functioning properly. I have since used it as a secondary phone. Moreso I purchased this phone because it had NFC and that was working o.k as well. Not worth the money its buggy and not working smoothly. I have now realme as my daily driver Wich Is in the same price range. And has worked flawlessly. My next budget phone will be a realme.
In short if your looking for an o.k phone and want it for basic needs also get it for a good price then get umidigi. Don't expect something amazing. Very mediocre.

Umidigi's got less than ZERO after-sales support . They claim to have a particular policy and warranty.
They do not.
I have checked Reddit, looked at reviews, gone on discussion forums.
You cannot send your phone to the manufacturer to be repaired under warranty. The practice does not exist.
They will send a replacement unit if they still have stock of the phone - and the sales platform you bought it on forces them to do so with consequences that will affect their ability to continue selling effectively on the platform.
Anything less they play the blame game and email equivalent of 3 card Monty.
What company has an "XYZ Brand US Official" channel on eBay and Amazon that the company claims has zero to do with them but is still an "authorized teseller"?
What company literally ghosts you as opposed to putting in writing ""We do not offer a return address or RMA authorizations of products purchased through this platform/store/sale". They just stop responding when they've exhausted the software fix options - oh and by the way, they are exactly the same template as Unidigi's official website customer service.
They're just somehow sepware companies where your manufacturer offers a warrant enforced by y a company that sells their product and bears their name but isn't them but Umidigi says will allow Umidigi the manufacturer to arbitrate with Umidigi the Official Reseller - but at their discretion and election, and it isn't binding to "respect their resellers"
Basically, what Brand doesn't sell their own product but offers a warranty?
If Umidigi manufactures products,, sells them to resellers it endorses, then claims they have zero involvement in offering warranty service, just customer service, how does the reseller get parts or offer replacement without Umidigi somehow in the picture? The fact is - they don't.
Chevy can't sell cars to dealerships with a warranty and then wash their hands of it. If the dealer offers the warranty they will need parts from Chevy. So ultimately Chevy HAS to play some part when things go wrong, or that dealer can't offer a warranty - there's no way to fulfill their obligations under the law.
So basically Umidigi says they offer a warranty , tells you the warranty is good with their official resellers, and their resellers tell you they offer a warranty and point to the Umidigi website, but don't fulfill it.
Who is to blame?
Umidigi.
It's a scam.
Hope you get a phone that works, and hope it keeps working for you. Anything else and you're out of luck.
Sure their phones are cheap. If a guy in a trenchcoat on a street corner offered you a phone that seemed like it worked, would you gamble your $150+ and buy it knowing you'll never see the guy again and it's "as is where is?"
Maybe you would. But if you wouldn't, it sucks to find out that you did when your transaction turns into exactly that.
Don't take my word for it. Go look anywhere reviews can't be influenced by Umidigi - Reddit, web forums, Facebook (when it's not their official page). In my extensive personal experience searching - you'll find only similar experiences to mine, because no other experience exists.
**This is not a violation of the bashing rules of GSM Arena. Umidigi has ZERO aftter sales service. It's hard enough to get a warranty repair and they won't even touch their own products after warranty. Stay away. Stay far far away.

Felix Jideonwo , 17 Jul 2022If you're thinking of buying an Umidigi phone, think a... moreLet me begin by saying that I'm sorry about your phone. Such happening isn't exclusive to brands like Umidigi; even big brands experience same issue on some of their units.
I bought an Umidigi A7 Pro in September of 2020 and I'm typing this reply with it.
Phone still works like magic. I've received several updates till date (last on was yesterday).
Yes, Umidigi has issues with customer service (which they're fixing), but to make it seem like their smartphones are not worth considering at all is a bit over-the-top if you ask me.
These guys makes good phones for a penny for crying out loud. Very good specs for the money you pay. Give them some credit.

If you're thinking of buying an Umidigi phone, think again. Support service is terrible, phones are very likely to fail for no good reason. I bought an Umidigi A7pro it lasted for 2months and then the touch stopped working and since their parts are ridiculously hard to find, I've been left with a useless phone since then. I totally regret this investment.

I got 3 Umidig F1 phones a few years back. One the sound died 6 months after purchase. The other 2, which I gifted to friends, are still working fine to this day. Camera is average, and poor in low light. Umidigi is very hit and miss unfortunately

I brought a UMIDIGI smartphone. But it cannot be turn on less than one Year. I contacted the UMIDIGI service because the phone is still under warrant, however, it takes them one week to ask me the problem. After I told me that the phone cannot be turn on, they did not reply to me anymore. I wrote many emails to them during following half year, but no single reply. Here is the description I find online which is just right.
Umidigi (formerly known as UMI) is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer based in the Chinese city of Shenzhen. The company was founded in February 2012 as UMI, launching their first phone, the UMI X1, in July of that year.[1] The company has drawn controversy under accusations of engaging in fraudulent practices[specify] and not honoring product warranties.[1][2][3]

Umidigi A9 pro. Bought on Amazon and worked for approximately 8 months. Update occurred. Phone is now dead. The worst possible investment you could make is to purchase an umidigi phone. Technical support is on-lines and non-existent. A waste of $300.00

Love it. I've been using Umidigi for years now, they're so cheap and very reliable. RAM is sufficient and barely got any lag whatsoever.
