A yet to be announced high-end phablet from Pantech appeared in live images and video. Dubbed Pantech Vega IM-A920S Pop Up Note, the device is a member of the company's Secret Note family and is bound to released in the immediate future in its home market in Korea.

Posted by two separate media outlets, the live images showcase the phablet in all its glory in black and white color schemes. They give us a close look at the Pop Up Note’s hardware features, including its fingerprint sensor and the TV antenna that’s typical for Korean devices.

Curiously, the antenna appears to share the same slot as the pop up stylus. The latter gives the phablet its nickname as it pops up from the top via a dedicated side button.

Pantech Vega IM-A920S is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC with 2.3GHz quad-core CPU and Adreno 330 GPU. The device offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in memory which can be further expanded via a microSD card slot. A 5.5” 1080p IPS display, 13MP main camera, 2MP front-facing snapper, skinned Android 4.4.2 KitKat complete the highlights in the specs.

Overall, the Pantech Vega IM-A920S Pop Up Note appears to be a direct Samsung Galaxy Note 3 rival. However, considering that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is right around the corner, we doubt that the characterful IM-A920S will help its beleaguered maker a great deal in today's competitive market.
