Unannounced Oppo pops up on TENAA - likely the A2

Victor, 22 October 2023

As is typically the case, a new, unannounced phone has made its way to the TENAA certification website prior to an official announcement and unveiling. This time, it’s the Oppo PJB110, which some have speculated could be the model number for the Oppo A2 5G.

The certification authority lists some specs for the upcoming device. It measures 165.6 x 76 x 7.9mm and tips the scale at 193 grams. That’s fairly light for a huge 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD panel device. Presumably, the phone is made of plastic.

We don’t have any specifics regarding the chipset of the PJB110 other than the fact that it has an octa-core CPU configuration clocked at up to 2.2 GHz. It is paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. There are a total of three listed storage options available – 128GB, 256GB and 512GB, expandable via microSD.

TENAA lists a 50MP main camera for the device, accompanied by a 2MP supplementary sensor on the back of the phone, likely for depth data. On the front – an 8MP selfie camera. Software-wise, the phone boots Android 13 with ColorOS 13 on top and all of this is powered by a hefty 5,000 mAh battery pack.

If speculations pan out, we could end up seeing the PJB110 make a debut as the Oppo A2 5G in China on Singles’ Day (11.11) during the annual shopping festival.

Either way, no such companies would ever do that. It'll honestly look horrible unless it's a monitor.

Their Find and more expensive Reno series are really good, the cheaper Reno series is I'd say decent but the A series is uh, well.... Just horrible

Isn't this the phone that they promised to have 4 years of battery replacement if it goes under 80%? Hopefully tech "journalists" will follow up on that (unlikely).
