Unlocked Asus Zenfone AR is now in stock in the US

Vlad, 03 August 2017

Less than 24 hours ago, the Asus Zenfone AR finally made its much anticipated debut in the US, when pre-orders started for the smartphone at Verizon. While Big Red will be the only US carrier to sell the Zenfone AR, there's also an unlocked version of the phone for the country - and this one has become available today.

If you don't mind grabbing the iteration that has 'only' 6GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage, then know that it's currently in stock at Amazon. You'll have to pay $599 for the privilege of owning the first handset that's compatible with both Google's Tango AR and Daydream VR.

On the other hand, if you'd rather have the model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, you can order it now but be advised that it will only ship in 2-4 weeks. This one is priced at $699. For reference, keep in mind that Verizon is charging $648 for its version, which pairs 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage.

i already put my hands in one and i love the thickness, but not so much the UI! ASUS need to do better in optimization in UI and smothness because i feel the phone not so fast in touch resposiveness! The back remind me of the old 808 and so on f...

I'm surprised Verizon is offering this model. I wonder if they'll sell the forthcoming Nokia flagship too.
