Unlocked Moto Z2 Play is up for pre-order in the US, Verizon's model just $120 this weekend

Vlad, 27 July 2017

The Moto Z2 Play has been available at Verizon since late June, so it's finally time for the unlocked model to make an appearance. This can now be pre-ordered directly from Motorola's online store. It is priced at $499.99 and will work on all major US carriers - AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, even Verizon.

You can choose between black and gold, color-wise. Note that the unlocked model comes with 64GB of built-in storage, twice the amount found in the Verizon-specific iteration of the smartphone. Speaking of which, coincidentally or not the carrier nicknamed Big Red has decided to run an insane promo for the Moto Z2 Play, this weekend only. The handset is usually priced over there at $408 all-in, or 24 monthly payments of $17.

Yet if you purchase one from Verizon until Sunday and choose installments for it, you'll only be paying $5 per month for two years. Yes, that adds up to just $120, so if you've been eyeing this device for a while but haven't bought one yet, perhaps now would be a good time for that. Note that as always with deals involving installments, the bill credit will begin within 1-2 cycles and ends when the balance is paid.
