Upcoming Audio Adapter HD accessory to add headphone jack to Essential Phone

Himanshu, 08 June 2018

In line with what it promised last year, Essential has announced its second PH-1 accessory - dubbed Audio Adapter HD - that's aimed at bringing the 3.5mm jack to the smartphone.

Here's what the company has to say about it:

The Audio Adapter HD can fit almost all types of 3.5mm headphones and is crafted from machined titanium for exceptional durability. Plus, it uses our Click connect technology, so you can listen to music while still being able to charge your phone.

While Essential didn't provide an exact time-frame, it did say the accessory will be officially launched "later this summer." No word on pricing though.

Details related to Audio Adapter HD were revealed as part of a broader announcement of Essential's partnerships with MQA and TIDAL. The company said PH-1 is now tuned and calibrated to support MQA, so you can have a "lossless audio experience in a smaller size."

As for partnership with TIDAL, Essential Phone users will get a three-month subscription of TIDAL HiFi for free. For more info, head to the Source link below.
