Samsung has pushed out a new update to its Gear S2 smartwatch that bumps the software version to R720XXU2BPA4, and brings along new apps and watch faces, as well as several other changes.

The update brings three new apps, including World Clock, ESPN, and News Briefing, as well as Mendini watch faces. In addition, it adds a new search function in the Contacts application, and a screen time out option in the Settings -> Display menu.

Your Gear S2 will now issue an alert when Bluetooth connection is disconnected, and also show an unread notification indicator on the watch face. Weighing in at around 91MB, the update includes some performance improvements and bug fixes as well.
