Update for the OnePlus 3/3T brings security patch, removes Hangouts
Ivan, 22 August 2017
OnePlus has issued an over the air update (OxygenOS 4.1.7) to the OnePlus 3 and 3T with the August security patch and some fixes and optimizations.
By request from Google the update will remove Hangouts from the core package in the case that it has never been updated so if you want to keep Hangouts on your OnePlus 3 or 3T you'd best update it on the Play Store prior to installing the update. Naturally you also get the chance to download it from the play store later on.
Here's a full changelog:
- Enhanced system fluidity
- Bluetooth optimizations
- Battery optimizations
- Android security patch updated to August
Improvements:
- Sound channel error while recording videos
- Call is routed to speaker accidently by some 3rd party apps
- Screen is turned on by screen off gesture while making a phone call
- Rendering issue in Indian Kannada language
- App locker issue caused by some 3rd party apps
- As requested by Google, Hangouts will be removed if you have never updated it on Play Store. To keep Hangouts, please update it prior to the upgrade.

I personally don't need any google app except play store. Everything else is just a crap who takes valuable space in my phone.
