Texas Instruments and the Android prototype

Texas Instruments had a pleasant surprise in store for us with two working prototypes running the Google's Android platform.

The first is a touchscreen device. It doesn't have the looks to take with you on the next party but surely it would come in handy if you are an aspiring programmer looking to contribute to Google's mobile venture called Android.

Texas Instruments are in fact going to sell their device to programmers at a reasonable price, so they can use it as a testing platform for their program code.

The smaller non-touchscreen device is just a proof of concept that you may as well have seen on many online or live presentations. Both devices run on Texas Instruments chips - and surprisingly smooth for that matter.
