Verizon's Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge getting their first update

03 June, 2015

A couple of months after Verizon started shipping Samsung's latest flagships - the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, the carrier has rolled out the first update to the devices. It bumps the handsets to software version VVRU1AOD5.

It's a minor update as it is aimed mostly at fixing bugs, although it does bring a new drawing mode in the photo editor and some layout changes to the HD Voice calling screen.

If haven't already, you should soon receive a notification for the OTA update. If you're feeling impatient, you can also check for it manually by heading to About device -> Software update on your device.
