Verizon Galaxy S7 and S7 edge getting June security update

Himanshu, 11 June, 2016

Verizon has started rolling out the latest security update (for the month of June) to Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge units on its network. The update bumps the software version to G930VVRU2APE1.

It isn't yet known if any other changes are included in the update as Verizon's site just says "the current software update gives you the most up to date Android security patch on your device."

As is usually the case, it may take some time for the OTA notification to pop up on your device. Meanwhile, if you feel patient, you can manually check for the update by heading to your handset's Settings menu.
