Verizon says Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 edge Oreo update roll out has begun [Updated]
Update: Rolling out again (let's hope it stays that way this time).
Update: Verizon has removed all references to Oreo from its official Galaxy S7 support pages, meaning the update has been pulled (yet again).
Original story follows:
Back in April, Verizon updated its Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 edge software update web pages to reflect Oreo update roll out for these devices. However, in reality, that turned out to be just a security update.
Now, the carrier has again updated those pages claiming Oreo for S7/S7 edge has begun rolling out. We really hope this time it's for real.
As for details, the update arrives as software version R16NW.G930VVRU4CRE5 and R16NW.G935VVRU4CRE5 for the S7 and S7 edge, respectively. In addition to the usual Oreo goodies, it also includes App pair, Dual Messenger, high contrast keyboard as well as UI improvements to your phone dialer.
