It is quite sad but comparing phones is a silly game. Let’s compare a 10 bedroom house to a 3 Bedroom Council House. You may not need 10 bedrooms but if you could afford it you would buy it. If you live in a council house that’s overcrowded, envy kicks in and your defence is to question why or what is the point of owning such a large house. You can buy a 15k car that has all the bells and whistles but if you could afford a £100000.00 supercar you would buy it despite having to spend an extra 20k to bring it up to spec of the 15k car. Why because you can and so it goes on. What you need to remember before criticising a Vertu is that the better you buy and the more expensive the item is usually means a better service and longer useful life. People who can afford a genuine Vertu have made it in life, have no need to go to a mates to show off the latest gadget on their phone and ultimately have better things to do than sit around moaning about the big house, flash car or latest plastic feature packed phone. They have what is called a life, in most cases worked hard for a good few years to have a comfortable living, and enjoy living life to the full and if it means that you pay a little extra to have the best then I would suggest that the people on here spend a bit more time looking at their own lives before criticising something that for the most part they will never touch or own.

This probably has the internals from a 8800 or 6230i, only the pcb and lcd are original but every other part is replaced

The idea that a phone should be a luxury item is fundamentally flawed; Because a phone is a tool, its purpose is utilitarian, not decorative. To this end, we see more and more 'smartphones,' which maximize their utilitarian capacity, doing things we'd never have expected them to. These are expensive because the technologies that power them are new, and costly. For the same reason, cars like Lamborghinis and Porches are also expensive; because there's as much going on under the hood as there is on the body.
THIS type of phone would be called, if anything, a 'dumbphone,' instead of a smartphone. It would be like putting the body of a Lamborghini on the frame and engine of a Saturn. Sure, it looks cool, but why not get your money's worth out of your phone?

FYA who says vertu diamond is sucks... Guys before commenting think twice coz these phones are basically designed for celebrities and the design as vel as the daimonds used in it are jst too high price whooping....thats the main reason these phones are not seen in pockets of more people...

this phone is of no use it does't give any feature and is too expensive .insted of buying this phone i can buy xperia 2,n97,htc touch dimond,satio.

Even if I am filthy with dough, I woudn't buy this phone. It's stupid. I'd rather buy an uber expensive Nokia phone than this. This is only for showing off. I'll laugh my ass out if I see anyone holding this.Recommended for impractical lossers.

I think it's great that this phone is made of unobtainium and space-ship steel.It has been said on this forum about how it's fire-proof etc,it would help identifying the human remains after the fire was out.As for dropping off buildings what about the poor pedestrians getting cracked skulls below.For $£€10,000 you could have 20 of the very best smartphones around or employ your own concierge on minimum wage for a year.Different strokes I 'spose.
