vivo G3 is official with 6,000 mAh battery
vivo has made the G3 official today as the successor to the G2 from January 2024. The phone is in fact identical to the vivo Y50 5G, which is also available on the Chinese market.
Regardless of how you choose to call it - G3 or Y50 - the smartphone comes with a 6.74-inch 720x1600 LCD screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate, a 13 MP rear camera, a 5 MP selfie camera, and a 6,000 mAh battery with support for 44W wired charging.
It's powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, paired with 6/8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. It measures 167.3 x 76.95 x 8.19 mm and weighs 204g. It has a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint scanner embedded into the power button.
It's offered in China in black only for CNY 1,499 (approximately $208) with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and CNY 1,999 ($278) with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It's unclear if it will ever be sold elsewhere.

they call it entry level, to the eyes of rich people. so the writer does a big no no. they could've gotten a Poco X6 Pro secondhand instead of this garbage mess that could've considered flagship back in 2017.

it could've be an market experiment in china. hence, re-launching the Y29 5G with 6000mah battery and waterdrop notch. and call it G3.

I never understood what Vivo's executives are thinking (or smoking). They used to have an easy to understand lineup. Y is entry level to low end. V is mid to premium mid range. X is flagship. But then they did weird things like Y400 with SD4...
