I was hopeful Vivo/ iQOO to enable native DSD playback on their iQOO 7 Legend. The phone comes with inbuilt Cirrus Logic CS43131 audio chip that has the hardware support. Unfortunately the manufacturer did not enable it at software level. This means the phone will only accept PCM audio in any form. Any DSD content playback will be software decoded to PCM rather than superior hardware decoding at the audio chip level. Though DSD is not popular as PCM, it is the best audio format for preserving audio fidelity. Also the abject lack of 3.5 mm audio jack from this phone to promote crappy TWS saddens my heart.

Under HiFi, it only displays the apps that support HiFi audio. Audio is one of the areas where I feel IQOO could have provided something better like Dolby Atmos.
The audio output from the USB-C port is good. Just make sure to use a high quality 3.5 mm adaptor for best results.

Settings -> Sound and Vibration -> Hi-Fi -> Professional DSD mode
This is quite important for me as I listen to DSD audio on smartphones, and my Vivo NEX (NEX S in China) does have it. Unfortunately my iQOO 3 sorely misses it.
Also how is the audio through USB-C? Thanks in advance.

I did some research online and all I found was a couple of websites suggesting it's an E3 display. But none were 100% sure. Did the guys at the service center tell you that it's an E4 display?

I'm loving this handset personally. Hey, I just wanna ask you.. how much SOT are you getting on a single charge? I'm getting more than 5 hrs SOT with 24/26 hrs standby with moderate use. Is it good?
And with light usage, I got 4hrs42mis SOT and 31hrs standby.
The display is awesome, very bright and crisp.
First I was unsure then finally I cleared my doubts with the iQOO service centre whether there is any Display protection like Gorilla Glass used in iQOO 7 Legend?
They said they have used Schott Xensation glass in front instead of gorilla glass and
the display is a Samsung E4 display (digitally certified Eye care display by Samsung); though iQOO did not advertise this I don't why, but it is the newest in 2021 E4 Samsung display.

Update - Finally purchased this phone for about 31k INR (~ 410 USD). Using it for about 4 days now.
My observations: Display is very good. No green tint issue noticed. Display is bright too. No problem using it under direct sunlight.
Software is good so far. No lags or stuttered yet. No complaints on Ram management either.
Battery life is better than most reviews suggest. With moderate usage, battery will probably last an entire day. Charging is awesome.20 mins Charging is more than enough.
Also, no heating issues yet. Did not run any heavy apps yet. Will give an update in future.
1 minor con - the case provided is very slippery. I would suggest get a new one!

I'm a heavy phone user and most of the time I don't have to charge it again in the evening. And if it is not a problem with the charging speed. If you cant wait 14 minutes it is your problem.

When comes to battery....it's average 65% usage will drain ur battery to zero end of the day.....but charging speed is mind-blowing.....it gets charge in just 28mins....
