After my comment on 16Aug, I thought to provide a personal review since GSMArena team is ignoring this phone.
My variant 12GB/256GB
I have come from Realme X2 Pro (which I still use as work phone after 4 years) so my thoughts are based on that.
Not going to mention obvious things.

Pros:
1) Price is excellent. Nothing 2 is blunder and recent updates have made their camera worse (scored own goal I guess.. lol)
2) The focus is for gamers; so optimisations is such as well. Very snappy phone and Excellent RAM management. Things do stay in memory as it was as advertised. Realme sucked at this.
3) Amazing charge speed Even at normal. Fast charge option I have used 2 times as I had to leave somewhere and the juice retains 40% under 8 mins. This is what fast charging be used for and rest times keep it off. Battery with thank you.
4) In my very personal opinion, no inclusion of NFC and wireless charging is sensible atleast in Indian variant.
4.a) The NFC payment market here is barely 1%. Almost everyone uses UPI QR code scanning. Infact I have never used NFC on my Realme phone for anything.
4.b) As said earlier, wireless charging tech is garbage compared to wired charging. Moreover you still need to plugin the wireless pod somewhere to get ultra slow wireless charging(absolutely senseless tech)
5) PWM dimming 👍🏻. This is so much underrated in other phones that don't supply it. I do quite a lot night watching in low brightness and never strains my eyes. I am quite surprised that tech reviewers don't mention this at all😂
Other phones in family - Xiaomi, Samsung don't have it as much good so difference becomes evident side by side.
6) The Google material theme is applicable and the much coveted Nothing UI that forces it's uniformity on icon is also possible here. So no need to invest 20k(INR & equivalent spec)
7) Smart casting is awesome. If I cast something on my TV, it only shows the video and anything else I do such as notification drawer, replying someone in bubble; none of it gets displayed on screen. 👍🏻👍🏻
In Realme I had to mute notification and leave everything to fate.
8) The kinetic wallpaper is good motivation for me to go for walks/runs and to watch the flower bloom everyday 😁. Only those who have it will know what it means.
9) Bloatwares are quite non existent since most of it is uninstallable. And the annoying ads are also non existent as compared to recent Realme phone tactics. Make sure to turn off notification and background data on any garbage app anyway.


Improvements I felt from my previous phone:

1) Funtouch OS is surprisingly good. I honestly had low hopes but the day to day performance has been great
2) Camera senaon from Realme GN1 to Iqoo GN5 is excellent jump in quality. So not being a camera guys, serves all decent purpose for me.
3) Front camera is also better and Don't need 4K rubbishness (something all tech reviewers are cribbing about) when the software(WhatsApp/voip) or the bandwidth on other side is already bad and going to downgrade anyway.

Cons:
1) Although the display is very good and 120hz is fantastic, it has some weird brightness issue(possibly os issue). If I move the slider, it does not adjust it instantly but keeps dimming/brightening even. Not a deal breaker as it comes to halt on a sec, but becomes quite annoying.
Moreover, Realme X2 Pro has much brighter and vibrant display which I kinda prefer.
2) Wifi auto switching to better saved network is absent 😕
3) Secondary camera as telephoto would have been more sensible and useful option.
4) In gaming section, I am annoyed that all features are not consistent in all games. Only specific games get them. Example- voice changer, haptic feedback(like if I die or kill in moba, I would like to have the feedback)
5) A lot of Settings feature provided on other sister BBK company are missing. I understand Realme/Oppo has very matured OS at this point but Funtouch should ramp up with many useful features from there.
6) and come on...No 3.5 mm jack? Realistically TWS seems to have life of 1.5 years before there is some issue with it and you are forced to buy another tech... 3.5 mm low tech is cheap and some amazing headphones out there. And gaming phones need instant response. TWS have delay of 65-112ms average. ANNOYED!
7) I have gotten so used to Smart Assistant on Realme X2 Pro (extreme left home section) I miss that a lot.

          Has GSMArena stopped reviewing IQOO phones? Last phone reviewed by GSMArena was IQOO 11, which was way back in December 22. After that, so many phones came IQOO Neo 7 (China) with Dimensity 9000+, IQOO Neo 7 SE (in India as IQOO Neo 7) and IQOO Neo 7 Racing edition (in India as IQOO Neo 7 Pro), IQOO Neo 8, IQOO Neo 8 Pro. None of these phones have been reviewed yet

                The Camera is better than Nord 3 and much better than F5 with f5 garbage result, regret buying F5 when this came out

                          Nowdays companies want to sell more not less.
                          And to sell more they need to make devices which people would swap regulary for new ones.
                          Its not like 100 years ago when your shoes could last 20-30 years pretty easily.
                          Nowdays everything goes and wears off after 2-3 maybe 5 years. More expensive things will last bit more like cars, trains, ships, planes etc.
                          But small electronic devices wouldnt last much.
                          When they are done for they are done for.

                                Bought this phone. Fearless Flame variant went out of stock pretty soon.
                                The price at which this is launched along with so many other phone is simply beating the competition.
                                Thank god IQOO product team is much aware to not add nonsense tech like NFC and wireless charging(which infact waste more energy than wired)
                                Nothing 2 has made massive blunder in overpricing and consistently comparing with iPhone and Samsung. Their camera at launch is not good, buggy OS again, people forget that charge+screen guard + case cost is not included.
