vivo NEX will come in three variants after all

New alterations of the vivo NEX have been popping out left and right. Just the other day, a second vivo NEX S version appeared in a Geekbench score sheet with Snapdragon 710 and got certified a day later. But now, a Chinese 3C certification report lists one more model dubbed as NEX A.

Unfortunately, the listing doesn't disclose anything overly specific about the three devices - only that they support fast 5V/2A, 9V/2A and 10V/2.25A charging over USB-C. We can assume that the NEX A variant will be a China-specific device while the NEX S and the full-fledged NEX version will go global.

We can say for sure that the top-end model will have the cool periscope selfie camera, a more powerful Snapdragon 845 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage and will likely go for more than $1,000 whereas the more affordable version with Snapdragon 710 and 6GB/128GB memory configuration will settle for a less impressive selfie camera mounted on the chin. The latter is expected to go for less than $800 but, of course, it's all just rumors for now.

The devices will be launched at an event in Shanghai on June 12 so stay tuned for the official unveiling.

We see now that I'm right, it's a slightly rounded off MIX2S, with different webcam positioning.

To be associated with a flagship device, it takes MUCH more than talk and over-inflated prices. Whether or not this strategy is succesful, it remains to be seen. We will know in a year's time.
