vivo Pad3 Pro debuts with Dimensity 9300, joined by TWS 4 series earbuds

The vivo X Fold3 and X Fold3 Pro were just announced in China but they weren’t the only new devices to take the stage as we also got to see the vivo Pad3 Pro - the maker’s new flagship Android tablet and the vivo TWS 4 series earbuds.

As the name suggests, Pad3 Pro features a spacious 13-inch LCD with 3,096 x 2,064px resolution, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel supports up to 900 nits peak brightness, covers the entire P3 color gamut, and supports HDR10 content. There’s an 8MP front-facing camera and a 13MP rear shooter.

The tablet supports stylus input via the vivo Pencil2 and you can also get a keyboard case that attaches via magnetic pogo pins. Audio is handled by an 8-speaker setup with support for spatial audio.

Pad3 Pro is the first Android tablet to feature MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9300 chipset and it’s offered with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. There’s a custom graphite heat sink and copper cooling matrix to keep thermals in check. Pad3 Pro also supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.

The software side is covered by OriginOS 4 based on Android 14 which comes bundled with vivo’s in-house BlueLM AI model. The latter brings generative AI for image and text creation as well as vivo’s office suite with support for remote access to Windows and Mac computers and the ability to use the tablet as an extended screen. There are continuity features allowing you to take calls and transfer files to and from compatible vivo phones.

Pad3 Pro packs an 11,500 mAh battery which is rated at up to 70 days of standby and supports 66W fast charging.

vivo Pad3 Pro comes in grey, blue, and purple colors. The entry-level 8/128GB trim starts at CNY 2,999 ($415), there’s an 8/256GB version for CNY 3,299 ($457) and a top-tier 16/512GB version for CNY 3,999 ($554). Open sales in China start on April 3.

vivo TWS 4 comes in two versions with the TWS 4 Hi-Fi model featuring support for the aptX Lossless audio codec. The standard version still gets LDAC and aptX Adaptive codecs.

Both TWS 4 variants offer 12.2mm drivers, active noise cancelation (ANC) up to 55 dB, special acoustic diaphragms made with ceramic tungsten material and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. Battery life is rated at up to 11 hours on a single charge while the case extends that to 45 hours.

vivo TWS 4 comes in blue and white colors and retails for CNY 399 ($55) while TWS 4 Hi-Fi comes in at CNY 499 ($70). Both will be available on open sale in China from April 3.

Buy Samsung tablets. They have an SD card slot and an included stylus if thats useful to you.

The Pad3 pro looks appealing for a grey market import sometime down the line but the lack of headphone jack and MicroSD slot prevents me from seriously considering doing it. Storage markups are disgusting as well. Stop shooting yourselves in th...

And how it is good? You get top spec tablet with most important part missing oled screen, this tablet is a failure. Why I should by this instead of iPad with oled screen?
