AnonD-1125734, 12 Oct 2023recently got this tablet. i'm gonna do a mini-review o... morepros:
- minimal design, pleasant colorway
- nice aluminium build that feels cool and comfortable in the hand
- relatively light for an 11.5" tablet and has good weight distribution
- good-quality 144hz* ips display with accurate colors and decent brightness, viewing angles and contrast
- slim, but not too slim bezels around the display
- smooth user experience with decent tablet screen optimisation and interconnectivity with other vivo devices
- stellar gaming performance due to the cooling and choice of chipset
- rich and loud quad speakers with dolby atmos
- reliably battery life. can easily get 8-10 hours of screen-on time no matter what
- satisfactory front and back cameras
- tablet charges relatively quickly. 0-100% in 1.5 hours
- stylus and keyboard support*
- usb 3.1 support (device can be mirrored)
cons:
- no headphone jack
- display never actually runs at 144hz (only 120hz dynamic or forced 120/60), and isn't suitable for competitive gamers due to some ghosting (mediocre response times)
- no fingerprint scanner (though face unlock is very quick and reliable)
- missing software features from mobile originos, such as homescreen cubes and battery health percentage
- accessories are limited to ones designed for the tablet by vivo
- you need a vivo account to utilise device interconnectivity
- 12gb ram is preferable for heavy multitasking, and that variant is much more expensive than either of the 8gb variants
for me, this tablet is a strong 8/10; i really like it overall. i don't see myself upgrading to anything else for a long time. i'll be using it for content consumption and school work
competitors like the xiaomi pad 6 might come in cheaper than this, but vivo pad air is definitely a good option for its price

you have to suffer, 29 Aug 2023the price is low because chinese prices, if this goes globa... moreYes international price will be more, maybe close to Xiaomi Pad 6 but still much lower than Galaxy 8.
I would like a to make an honorable mention of Honor Pad 8 which is giving a 12 inch, 10 bit screen at such a low price. That's the segment I want all the brands to explore and develop.
I mean with some improvement to what Honor is offering and some increase in price a good large screen device can be offered at a price much lower than Samsung.
12 inch+ screen, 10 bit, good ppi,
NOT very heavy duty processor
Low price
And since Gaming tablets are a thing now, a variant of the same device can be offered with a strong processor and other improvements, as the .. uhmm.. 'Gaming Variant'.

you have to suffer, 27 Aug 2023mi pad 6It would be very close to the Xiaomi Pad 6, but the different aspect ratios (the Pad 6 has 16:10 vs 3:2 for the Vivo) make for a quite different user/visual experience when it comes to media consumption and productivity.

32gb ram would get you more capabilities, you would expand to 256gb via ram expansion. you can play genshin impact at 144fps, max setting, ps5 game at max setting. front camera should be 108mp. /s
