Sagar, 06 November 2019

The vivo S5 is coming on November 14 and has now received TENAA certification, the authority's website revealing its full specs in the process.

The S5 is listed with two model numbers - V1932A and V1932T - both powered by a 2.3GHz octa-core processor believed to be a part of the Snapdragon 712 SoC. It has 8GB RAM onboard and runs Android Pie which is likely layered with Funtouch OS atop.

The smartphone will come in two storage options - 128GB and 256GB - and sport a 6.44" FHD+ AMOLED display with a fingerprint reader underneath. The listing of V1932T doesn't mention the UD fingerprint scanner, though, but it could just be an error.

Moving on to the camera department, both V1932T and V1932A will sport a 32MP selfie shooter. But on the back, the V1932T will sport a triple camera setup (48MP+8MP+5MP) whereas the V1932A will come with a penta camera setup (48MP+8MP+5MP+2MP+5MP).

The listing doesn't include the images of the phone, but a live image of the phone shared by vivo's official Weibo account gives us a glimpse of the phone's rear, and it seems the S5 will arrive with four cameras - not three or five.

TENAA also reveals that S5 will pack a battery with a rated capacity of 4,010 mAh.
