vivo S6 5G announced with 6.44" AMOLED display and Exynos 980
The latest midrange offering from vivo is the S6 5G. It brings an AMOLED screen, four cameras, dual-mode 5G connectivity and a 4,500 mAh battery alongside Samsung’s Exynos 980 chipset which it shares with the vivo X30 and X30 Pro.
The vivo S6 5G sports a 6.44-inch AMOLED display of FHD+ resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels) with a waterdrop notch where we find the 32MP selfie cam. The panel comes with a tall 20:9 aspect ratio and features an in-display fingerprint reader.
Around the back, we find the circular hump which houses 4 cameras. The 48MP main camera is paired with an 8MP ultrawide shooter, 2MP macro snapper and a 2MP depth helper.
The Exynos 980 chipset has 8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage. The battery has 4,500 mAh capacity and support for 18W fast charging. On the software front, we find vivo’s Funtouch OS 10 based on Android 10.
The vivo S6 5G will be offered in black, white and blue colors. Pre-orders are already live while official sales are scheduled for April 4. The 6/128GB version goes for CNY 2,698 ($380) while the 8/256GB trim will set buyers back CNY 2,998 ($425). International availability is yet to be detailed.
