vivo T2x is official with Dimensity 1300, Y33e tags along
A new phone arrived today, and it is the vivo T2x that extensively leaked last week. Just as the scrolls foretold, the new device has a Dimensity 1300 chipset and a big battery.
vivo also introduced a Y33e phone, which is largely identical to the Y33s 5G but with half the RAM and slower charging.
The T2x is vivo’s first phone with the new Mediatek chipset that has a 3.0 GHz CPU and a Mali-G77 graphics unit. The 6.58” LCD has Full HD+ resolution, and vivo decided to keep it traditional with the front-facing camera - a waterdrop notch for the 8MP shooter.
There are only two cameras on the back - 50MP main one and a 2MP macro shooter.
The screen supports 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Both these features are an improvement over the vivo T1x which only went up to 120Hz. Another update is the 20% bigger battery - capacity is now 6,000 mAh while keeping the 44W fast-charging rates.
The vivo T2x costs CNY1,599 ($240) for an 8/128 GB memory option or CNY1,799 ($270) for 8/256 GB. Available in Black and Blue colors, the phone is already up for pre-order, with shipping scheduled to begin on June 6.
The vivo Y33e technically counts as a new phone, since it has some minor changes over the vivo Y33s. They share a Dimensity 700 chipset and a 13MP + 2MP main camera setup, but the new phone comes with just 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. It's also limited to 10W charging for the 5,000 mAh battery. This helped bring the price to CNY1,299 ($130).

How is OriginOS so restrictive? What about ColorOS/Realme UI/FuntouchOS? I feel like most of Android's inherent restrictions (scoped storage, etc.) come from Google, not the makers of the skins, but I could be wrong.
