vivo expands to UAE, launching Y17 this week

Chinese smartphone maker vivo is expanding its market reach lately with the latest country to get its products becoming the UAE. The company has already started selling the Y15, and this week, it will bring another model to the country - Y17.

The vivo Y17 is powered by the Helio P35 SoC paired with 4GB RAM. It runs Android Pie-based Funtouch OS 9 and has 128GB of storage onboard which can be further expanded up to 256GB with a microSD card.

The Y17 flaunts a 6.35" HD+ notched display and boasts a triple camera setup at the back comprising of 13MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP depth sensor modules. For selfies and video calls, there's a 20MP snapper on the front, an upgrade over the Chinese version that ships with a 16MP unit.

The smartphone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and has a 5,000 mAh battery under the hood with 18W fast charging support.
