We’ve been hearing plenty of rumors about the vivo V11 in the past few weeks, but now the phone finally goes official. The mid-ranger comes with an under-display fingerprint scanner and a waterdrop-notch on its 6.41" AMOLED screen.

The vivo V11 runs on the Snapdragon 660 chipset, a huge upgrade over the 626 SoC that powered its vivo V9 predecessor. It sports an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.2 GHz, an Adreno 512 GPU and 6GB RAM. The 128GB storage can be expanded via a microSD card and thanks to the triple slot you don't have to sacrifice the dual SIM functionality to achieve it.

The 6.41” AMOLED display of the vivo V11 has Full HD+ resolution. The under-display fingerprint scanner below, makes it the first vivo midranger with the technology. There is also a face-unlocking feature that is called Face Access and both security measures work together - once either recognizes you, the vivo V11 unlocks.

The main camera setup consists of 12MP f/1.8 + 5MP f/2.4 modules, seen in the vivo X21 and the vivo NEX S flagships. The selfie shooter has 25MP resolution and f/2.0 lens and arrives with the obligatory for this year AI enhancements.

The battery is 3,400 mAh in capacity and 18W quick-charging support, but sadly going through a microUSB port instead of a USB-C.

The OS of the vivo V11 is Funtouch 4.5, based on Android Oreo 8.1. The new version of the UI has Jovi AI Engine for allocating CPU and memory resources for a more efficient usage, which should give you improved battery life and faster app performance.

The vivo V11 will be available to multiple markets in Starry Night and Nebula colors. Tomorrow, September 6, the manufacturer is having a separate event in India where we are hoping to hear more about international pricing.
