Very nice and good Phone, i'm a fan of Vivo phone, i now have my Vivo V17 pro since dec.19 in Denmark and it works so good, before i have Vivo v7+, that is now with my daugther, it is 2,5 years old and still works very good and she is happy for it.

Very nice phone in this price. And 8GB RAM is a way too high for performing day to day tasks.

I would like to recommend Vivo V17 Pro but unfortunately I can’t.
I bought V17 Pro October 2019 when the model was sparkling new, as it looked promising with an impressive screen and even more impressive camera for shall we call it a decent price.
I took for granted of course that the standard functionalities of any smart phone would work flawlessly. Actually, I didn’t give the standard functionalities a thought. Who does?
Already soon after V 17 Pro was put into service, people wondered why I didn’t reply to their SMS’. I didn’t reply for obvious reasons: When you do not receive any SMS you don not reply, right? These repeated incidents of lacking SMS recipience made me contact Vivo Global Support Team, and I followed all their suggestions including the Restore(Reset) of all phone settings (!)
Unfortunately, it didn’t solve the issue of lacking SMS recipience, but it but it brought about new peculiarities on the V17 Pro. After the restore(reset) of all phone settings fingerprint access stopped working with some apps. I can activate fingerprint access in the app once again, but next time the app is activated, Fingerprint Access is not an option. I can then activate fingerprint access in the app once again, but the next time… and so on. After the restore(reset) of all settings V17 Pro furthermore loses connection to Wi-Fi regularly, claiming no network is available.
Furthermore, I experienced the lacking SMS recipience is an issue only when the phone is inactive, resting in my pocket or laying on a table etc.: When the phone is inactive/not being used no SMS’ are received, but when the phone is already active/being used all SMS’ are received (but only as long as the phone is in active state). Sometimes when the phone is inactive, I hear the notification sound, but when I grab the phone to see what happens there is nothing to see. Did the phone actually register an incoming SMS? It doesn’t show any new SMS…
I have informed Vivo Global Support Team about my latest discoveries regarding both the lacking SMS recipience and the partly dysfunctional Fingerprint Access, but they simply don’t reply.
Actually, I brought the extended error description to the Vivo Global Support Team in three different messages since I discovered more intriguing details as time went on, but no reply at all. It would at least be suitable for Vivo Global Support Team to be remorseful about my incredibly bad experience and assure me that they will work to find a solution; but nothing…
Even though V17 Pro at first glance is a desirable device with a handsome screen and an impressive camera, you have no pleasure from a phone with standard functionalities deeply marked with serious errors, so when the incredibly bad experiences with the phone are summed up with the complete absence of support, I cannot recommend Vivo V17 Pro.

Hi, am in kenya i bought the phone on the 17th of december 2019 and last week the whole screen become black, i took to vivo service center they made it, it worked for a day then is completely dead. what should i do i spent a lot of money on it and only about 2 months old. I kindly request the company to give me another phone. Now i havwe nothing to use and the service centre told me to give them sometime. Honestly i need another v17 pro phone from the manufacturer. kindly help.
