This is not the first time we hear about the upcoming vivo V17 Pro handset. Leaked promo video and image were enough to give us a sneak peek and we finally have some official renders and specs to fill in the gaps.

The images and info are courtesy of WinFuture and given the good track record, we think the specs listed below are solid.

The V17 Pro is built around a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED screen with under-display fingerprint reader and a tall 21:9 aspect ratio with 1080 x 2440px resolution. Of course, there's no notch so the dual front-facing camera setup is attached to a motorized periscope-like unit. The main camera is 32MP with wide-angle optics joined by a 2MP depth sensor.

On the back, the handset features four cameras with the main one using the popular 48MP sensor. The latter is accompanied by an ultra wide-angle shooter. Interestingly, none of the other two sensors takes over the telephoto department but instead they are both 2MP. Perhaps one of them is used for depth sensing but the second one's purpose is yet unknown. Our best guess is a dedicated macro lens.

The brain inside is the Snapdragon 675 also used in the previous V15 Pro. In terms of memory, the handset features 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. The battery that powers it all is a 4,100 mAh unit.

I bought the S10e so that says enough... hole punchout for a selfie camera, speaker is almoust invisible, flat screen and IP68, adittional bonus - it's a compact device.

Yes. Perhaps they should imitate Sony and have an extension at the top of the phone for the cameras, loudspeaker and so on. No moving parts needed, so IP68 possible. Or is that too radical?

All this, but no IP68...
