vivo V25 and V25 Pro launch officially today
Today vivo hosted an event at which a new impressive midranger was introduced - meet the vivo V25 Pro. We also received a press release about a vivo V25 that did not appear at the launch and is still missing from the company website. The former brings a 6 nm chipset, 64 MP main cam and other flagship-tier specs, while the latter has a 50 MP selfie camera with AF.
vivo V25 Pro
The Pro member of the family comes with a mightier Dimensity 1300 chipset and a bigger 6.56” AMOLED display, which is also curved, while the fingerprint scanner made its way underneath the panel. The max refresh rate here is 120 Hz while the resolution remains 1080p.
The main camera setup remains the same as the non-Pro sibling - 64 MP main with OIS (and EIS), 8 MP super-wide-angle and 2 MP macro. The selfie shooter, however, got downgraded to 32 MP but it kept the autofocus feature.
The vivo V25 Pro also has Funtouch OS 12 and all the latest and greatest connectivity options, including all major 5G bands. Software-wise, vivo equipped the fancy features like Super Night Video and Vlog Movie that allow users to take better videos for their social media accounts.
The phone is a tad bigger and heavier, compared with the vivo V25, and comes with a 4,830 mAh battery and 66W FlashCharge.
Once again all two color options Blue and Black have the Fluorite AG Glass, but only the first one can change its appearance under UV light and direct sunlight.
The 8/128 GB option is INR35,999 (about $450), while 12/256 GB will set you back INR39,999 (approximately $500). Pre-booking starts today, August 17, while availability is scheduled for next Thursday, August 25.
vivo V25
The vanilla variant runs on Dimensity 900 with either 8 GB or 12 GB RAM. Both memory variants can be expanded with 8 GB more, and storage options are 128 GB or 256 GB.
The screen is a 6.44” AMOLED but the fingerprint scanner remains on the side, embedded in the power key. It comes with HDR 10+ support, 90 Hz refresh rate and a 1080p resolution.
The vivo V25 series is targeted toward young people who love vlogging and taking pictures, and that’s why the vanilla phone has a 64 MP main shooter with OIS, 8 MP ultra-wide-angle cam and a 2 MP macro cam. The selfie cam is 50 MP with plenty of AI algorithms so the object can appear a bit clearer.
The phone, being a global variant, comes with Funtouch OS 12, based on Android 12 - we are yet to see OriginOS out of the domestic market. The battery in the vivo V25 is 4,500 mAh with support for 44W FlashCharge.
Other specs include Dual-mode 5G, the latest Wi-Fi standards, Bluetooth 5.2 and a relatively light body of 186 grams.
The back panel comes in Aquamarine Blue, Sunrise Gold, and Diamond Black and while all three have the Fluorite AG Glass, only the first two change colors like their predecessor vivo V23.
Prices and availability will be announced at a later stage.

Every chinese oem strives to be an Apple copycat. Go to China and see how many fake Apple stores there are, heck you can just go to youtube and type 'fake apple stores in china' will give you an idea how obsessed they are with Apple.
