vivo V30 in for review

This is the vivo V30 - one of the first Snapdragon 7 Gen 3-equipped phones around, and the latest in vivo's stylish V series.

It comes with a USB cable, a case, and one of the chunkiest chargers we've seen. It justifies its size with 80W peak power output, so we'll let it slide.

The V30 is up to vivo's high standards for design and build quality. In a world that's ever moving to a flat, matte look, the vivo V30 is svelte and very curvaceous.

The Aqua model we have for review has a flowing texture underneath the rear glass that's reminiscent of ripples on moving water. The blue shade of the back panel is quite subtle.

There are only two cameras on the back of the vivo V30 - a 50MP f/1.9 wide angle, and a 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide with autofocus. There's a 2x mode in the camera viewfinder, but those photos are cropped from the main camera.

Upfront, the vivo V30 packs a 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED of 1260x2800px resolution.

The vivo V30 runs Android 14 with vivo's Funtouch OS 14 on top. The unit we have has 12GB of RAM (with the option to add another virtual 12GB) and 512GB of storage. Finally, there's a 5,000mAh battery inside.
