vivo V30 Pro review
Design, build quality, handling
The vivo V30 Pro is a striking smartphone; there are no two ways about it. We immediately fell in love with this phone, and we are going to miss it after this review is over. One - because it is a rather unique-looking device, and two - it is nicely thin and lightweight.
The vivo V30 Pro is a dual-glass smartphone with both panels equally curved across the long edges. The screen has a sheet of Schott Alpha glass to keep it safe, while the rear glass is matt and - well, it is somewhat a multi-layer thing, and the work depends on the color option you choose.
The frame is made of plastic, and it is glossy, but according to vivo - there is aluminum alloy underneath, around all four corners, for reinforcement and shock absorption purposes.
The V30 Pro also has ip54 ingress protection for extra peace of mind.
The back of the vivo V30 Pro is interesting, even if odd. There is a huge rectangle housing that is jutting out of the back. Half of this is for the three rear 50MP cameras and the Zeiss logo, while the other half has the LED flash and the Aura Light square. The latter can be used in all sorts of scenarios instead of the concentrated LED flash, and it can be customized (or left on auto) to light up from white to yellow or even orange/red!
The Aura Light square is called View Catcher, and it does serve a purpose, and it is not just for aesthetic reasons here.
The phone is available in four colors, each with a different finish. The Bloom White version has a 3D Petal Pattern; the Waving Aqua has a Rippling Magnetic Particle effect; the Lush Green is a color-changing version, and the Noble Black has Fluorite AG Glass.
We have the Bloom White version, which has a matt finish, and it is gorgeous!
The front of the vivo V30 Pro is home to the 6.78-inch AMOLED of premium quality, thin bezels and small perforation for the 50MP selfie imager. The display glass is curved, but the screen panel is not.
There is an almost invisible earpiece above the screen and a completely hidden optical fingerprint scanner underneath. It offers top-notch experience.
The back of the vivo V30 Pro is more likable than not. It is definitely unique with that large jutting-out housing and Aura Light.
There is nothing unusual across the sides of the vivo V30 Pro.
The vivo V30 Pro is a beautiful smartphone that easily stands out among other devices. <>A downside to the design is the poor grip it offers. It is almost impossible to pick up the phone from a desk/table, and it is an extremely slippery smartphone, which makes it uncomfortable to handle. Having a case on remedies this, so it's good that one is supplied with the phone.

It's pretty much in the same class. 13T should be compared to V30 though since the price is much more similar.

Current pricing is understatement. In my market V30 Pro goes for $550 while 13T goes for $400.
