vivo V30 Pro launches with four 50 MP cameras
The vivo V30 Pro is finally official, four weeks after the regular V30 debuted. The phone will be available across international markets and brings four 50 MP cameras – three at the back and one more at the front.
The Pro version has the same footprint as the V30 and the China-only S18 and S18 Pro, the phones also sharing displays, batteries and charging rates.
The V30 Pro comes with a Dimensity 8200 chipset. It is a much more powerful 4 nm platform compared with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 on the regular V30. Memory options are two – 8/256 GB or 12/512 GB.
The camera of vivo V30 Pro was co-engineered with Zeiss, and the partnership with the German company brings features like Natural Color, Border Watermark, and Zeiss Style Portrait.
The sensors at the back are Sony IMX920 for the main camera, Samsung JN1 for the ultra-wide-angle shooter and Sony INX816 for the portrait telephoto camera. The phone also has a rectangular Aura Light for softer, more even lighting of your low-light portraits.
The screen is a 10-bit 6.78” AMOLED panel with 1260p resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 2,800 nits peak brightness.
The V30 Pro is launching globally, meaning its interface on top of Android 14 is the Funtouch 14. It features a 5,000 mAh battery, but it is still the thinnest vivo smartphone in the international markets right now.
The vivo V30 Pro is offered in four colors, each with a unique design effect – Bloom White, Waving Aqua, Lush Green, and Noble Black.
The 12/512 GB version of the vivo V30 Pro costs IND8,999,000 ($570) in Indonesia. Availability will be announced later on for each market but we do know it will arrive in India on March 7.

What’s worse is that it costs ~$600 while offering no stereo speakers.

Will be interesting how the Dimensity 8200 with older cores fare against the cheaper Snapdragon 7 gen 3 with newer cores.
