Anonymous, 10 Oct 2024Can you please post your proof of ownership for GSMArena? S... moreAnd since when do you feel the need to question about site ownership to people who criticize your presence here?

We're just calling out your nonsense, bro. Because some people like you deserve to be called out for your ignorance and being a closed-minded jerk who tries too hard to discourage people from buying this phone just because of one weakness, making a dumb comparison with a low-end phone, and refusing to look at the bigger picture.

I don't like that the iPhone 16 still has a 60Hz display, but I don't come to the iPhone 16 forum to whine and try to convince everyone to not buy it because "60Hz is crap". Sorry bro, you can't convince us to stop criticizing you because you're not the site owner here either.

Anonymous, 09 Oct 2024At the same time, you're making conclusions of your V3... moreDid every single trick to optimize the V30 but stutters still persist. No, I am not a newbie and I am much more experienced with Android phones than most people here. I am a certified OC and I don't appreciate lags and stutters on my phones. I don't install much apps either so I don't really understand the lags particularly the UI stutters. For a phone that has a decent SoC, 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM what the hell are the lags about? Truly disappointing as far as I am concerned.

Then why are you even here anyway, you twit? This phone may not have a fast storage, but it's still perfectly fine for like 90% of people who want a good camera phone and don't care about performance too much. Besides, the battery life is almost unmatched, which makes up for the slow storage.

If you want good performance, then I'm sorry, this phone isn't for you. How about you go to another phone forum instead of coming here to complain about a phone you don't even like and will never buy? Get a life, pal.

I've used 3 Xiaomis, an Oppo, and 2 Samsungs for daily use in the past 10 years, and I can assure you all of them have lagged one way or another regardless of their storage type.

The fact that you sold your V30 just because of stutters is a bit ridiculous. Did you try doing things like restarting your phone, disabling the RAM extender feature, disabling certain apps from autostart, and removing bloatware?

Sold the V30 after 2 months because it had UI stutters which did not appear at all when it was new. Wait for a few months and it will lag because of FuntouchOS. Not the case with other midrangers.

Anonymous, 09 Oct 2024Blah blah UFS 2.2 is meant in 2024 for budget phones period... moreI've compared my aunt's V40 with my Poco X6 Pro that uses UFS 4.0, and there's almost no noticeable difference between both phones for everyday usage. I don't notice any lag on the V40 at all despite the slower UFS 2.2 storage.

Really, the only *real* difference I notice is that the Poco loads games faster, but I'm not an avid mobile gamer, so I don't care.

Sorry bro, just speaking from personal experience here. I don't make conclusions based on what I see on paper like you.

Anonymous, 08 Oct 2024Beyond what your mental faculties can deduce? 🤣🤣🤣 There... moreBlah blah UFS 2.2 is meant in 2024 for budget phones period. You can make all the justifications you want but this phone sucks because it uses a cheap storage type that is not supposed to be used in expensive 2024 midrange phones. It will lag due to the heavy FuntouchOS skin and tons of bloatwares in the V40 series. You're buying this for the cameras and not its performance so you may stop defending Vivo for skimping on the storage type and spending the cash on the Zeiss branding instead.

Instead of only focusing on one aspect/weakness, look at the bigger picture - the midrange V40 has a better display, better cameras, faster processor, bigger battery, and faster charging compared to the entry-level Redmi.

Are there other phones at this price range with faster UFS 3.1 or UFS 4.0 storage? Sure, but some like the Oppo Reno12 and Realme 13 Pro+ have weaker processors than the V40, while others like the Poco F6 and OnePlus Nord 4 have more powerful processors, but worse cameras and battery life.

If you aren't interested in buying this phone, then don't bother coming to this forum just to complain and start arguments.
