So while chinese version of Vivo V40 - Vivo S19 - has aptx lossless and it is listed on the aptx website as such ( https://www.aptx.com/products/vivo-s-19), the worldwide version (Vivo V40) apparently does not (I just got it from chat with their tech support). That is a major bummer and reason for me not to buy the phone. If you skip the jack, than give me the most up to date Bluetooth codec. Besides Vivo V40 has the hardware for it (because Vivo S19 has it). It is just about paying the licensing fees.

It is faaaarrr slo... morePal, your analogy comparing ufs and nvme is crap. 7 gen 3 can very well take up ufs 3.1 speed without any bottleneck as seen with other 7 gen 3 devices, no one here expects ufs 4.0 here. Vivo has been known to be slow with improvements on their devices (stereo speakers/nfc/ip rating/ufs storage) and it is priced premium in the market where I am from, so I would have expectations here. Also Fun fact, there's no 7 gen 2. Only 7+gen 2 or 7s gen 2.

User. Hi., 07 Aug 2024Stop being a Qualcomm fanboy. I hate to break it to you, but I'm a nerd. I like to flash custom ROMs, root my device, use GCAMs etc. Snapdragon supports all these better than mediatek. That's why I had mentioned it's my beef with Vivo. Please don't be a bigger clown here.
