vivo X200 and X200 Pro to launch in early October, new rumor confirms

vivo released the X100 and X100 Pro in late November last year, but their successors will come earlier, as rumored before and 'confirmed' today by a new report from China (as much as any rumor can truly confirm another rumor).

Apparently, the X200 and X200 Pro will arrive in early October instead, a very short amount of time after Apple's iPhone 16 family is released later this month.

Alleged vivo X200 render

Thus, the X200 and X200 Pro will compete head-on with Apple's new offerings in China, where vivo sold the most smartphones in July and August. In the premium segment, vivo is third following Huawei and Apple.

The X200 and X200 Pro have long been rumored to use MediaTek's Dimensity 9400 SoC. The X200 is expected to sport a 6.3-inch flat OLED screen with 120 Hz refresh rate and "1.5K" resolution. It will have a 50 MP main camera with a Sony sensor, a 50 MP 3x periscope zoom camera, and a 50 MP ultrawide. It will get a 5,500-5,600 mAh battery with 90W wired charging.

The Pro is rumored to bring a curved "1.5K" 120 Hz OLED screen, a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera (most likely the one from the X100 Ultra), a 50 MP main sensor with large aperture, and a 50 MP ultrawide. It should pack a 6,000 mAh or larger battery. There have also been rumors of IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance, and an improved vibration motor.
