If you want to compare sensor quality, exact same settings should be used with pro-mode. Haven't seen anyone do that.
I'm ok about some differences, but I don't see the same weakness on X200 Pro's LYT-818 than the one on Find X8 Pro's 1/1.43" LYT-808 (on dark parts for exemple)
Daytime, up the ISO and slow down the shutterspeed could be a solution on n'est update...Daytime shouldn't be a problem.
Things could maybe differ a bit nighttime. But I'm confident.
Tiny step back on main cam compare to huge step up on tele...I will choose X200 Pro over X100 Pro

Need LYT sensor vs o... moreWhen watching comparisons, in this case it's not enough to erase the size difference. At daytime and when cropping, the difference is very clear... it's better because of size. The same goes for night, especially when not using night mode, the difference is very clear, raw main cam simply beats it, with night mode it gets closer (very close actually), but it still looses.
Updates will probably optimize it to some degree.
It's always disappointing when newer model is lesser at some things than previous model, even if only one thing.

Need LYT sensor vs old IMX sensor.
Dual layer sensor technology vs single layer.
22nm transistor vs 40nm.
The question is are the newer technology enough to erase the size difference ?

I think overall, the new one is nearly as good in some way and even have better things.

SOMAYU, 06 Nov 2024I wanted to give folks here a fair warning in case you are ... moreJust watched a YT video on the comparison between the x100 ultra and x200 pro and the difference in cam performance is minimal. In some scenarios the x100 ultra wins but in some the x200 pro wins so it is basically a tie. Plus, future software updates for the x200 pro will surely improve the cam all the more. Getting an x100 ultra today at a more expensive price tag is a no no for me since it uses an older chipset, smaller battery capacity and is less battery efficient. I want a balance between overall performance and camera quality which the x200 provides plus it will have at least an additional year of software support which also can't be ignored.

I wanted to give folks here a fair warning in case you are considering getting the CN X200 pro- as of writing this phone does not support Android Auto. The x100 pro got an update earlier this year supporting it in beta, so it might be worth standing by if that's a must-have for you. The limited roll out is kinda weird, as AA worked flawlessly on the X100 pro.
As for other aspects, the main cam is a downgrade on the x200 pro in terms of photos, but not by much. The zoom cam does better at low light from what I see so far, and more than makes up for it for my use case. The x200pro also has noticeably better battery life and a brighter display, making it more usable in the day to day.

The gaps in camera performance/quality is negligible and should not be a point of contention. Only the OC pixel peepers will notice the slight differences and 99% of the users will surely enjoy the X200 Pro's cameras. One thing that can't be ignored is gap in the CPU/GPU performance leap from the X100 Pro/X100 Ultra to the X200 Pro.

Anonymous, 02 Nov 2024Looks like A Snapdragon fanboy is mad lolIt's you that is mad, that's why your first thought is this. This is about cameras.
X100U vs X200 Pro:
Main cam: X100U wins in every situation.
Zoom 2X: complete destruction by X100 Ultra.
Zoom: goes back and forth, pretty much a draw and the best zoom in any phone
UW: X100U wins in every situation.
And also Oppo Find X7 Ultra is a better cameraphone than X200 Pro.
Vivo X100 Pro also beats X200 Pro in main cam in every situation in taking photos (it's closer at night) and is also better at UW for now (probably because of numerous updates).
