vivo Y28s 5G surfaces in Geekbench ahead of launch

vivo's Y28 was announced back in January, and in the meantime word got out that the company is also working on the Y28 4G, which was already certified by the FCC. Now there's a third member of the family on the way too, as the vivo Y28s 5G has surfaced through the Geekbench online database.

The Y28s 5G has the model number V2346, and it managed a 599 single-core score and a 1,707 multi-core score in Geekbench 6.3. It comes with Android 14 on board, undoubtedly with vivo's Funtouch OS 14 on top.

The prototype that got benchmarked had 8GB of RAM, but as always more versions could be offered upon launch. The phone is powered by a MediaTek chipset, most likely the Dimensity 6300, which became official back in April.

Based on prior certifications from a myriad of authorities across the globe, the Y28s 5G will have support for 15W wired charging. The Y28s may serve as a successor of sorts to the Y28, launching about half a year afterwards. We'll let you know when we find out more.
