vivo Y300 5G comes with 50 MP main camera
The vivo Y300 arrived today in India, just like the company promised last week. The phone shares a lot of similarities with the vivo V40 Lite in Indonesia, but it has a slightly different camera setup, and for that, we are treating the device as new.
The Y300 comes in India with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset and 8 GB RAM (expandable to 16 GB through Settings). There are two storage options, 128 GB or 256 GB; if that's not enough, users can enjoy the micro SD slot.
The phone's front features a 6.67” AMOLED panel with 1080p resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. It also has a punch hole for the 32 MP selfie camera.
Speaking of cameras, the Y300 excels at the main one. It is a 50 MP shooter with a Sony IMX882 sensor, assisted by a 2 MP portrait lens. The phone also has an AI aura ring light, which is different from the dual LED flash and acts as an extra light for portrait shots in the dark.
The phone also has some AI features like Erase or Enhance, which allow users to delete background objects or fix old, grainy photos. There is also the infamous Super Moon feature, which takes a photo of the full moon and draws a realistic image (it's not really taking a detailed photo of the celestial object).
The Y300 has a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 80W wired charging. According to the official website, it should charge from 0 to 80% in half an hour, but the FlashCharge feature can be turned off to protect battery health.
The marketing slogan for Y300 is “It's my style,” and for that, vivo implemented a high-gloss frame and fancy color options. The Y300 comes in Titanium Silver, Emerald Green or Phantom Purple, and all three of them look lovely in the renders.
The phone has Bluetooth 5.0 and a USB-C port on the bottom but does not support FM Radio or NFC. It comes with Android 14 and Funtouch OS 14 on top. The body also has an IP64 rating, which should protect the phone from dust and water splashes.
The vivo Y300 is priced at INR 21,999 for the 128 GB version or INR 23,999 for the 256 GB variant. It is currently available for prebooking at the company website and will start selling on Tuesday, November 26.

I knew Vivo as a very careful company in the creation of high quality devices, from the audio point of view (latest generation Audio Chips, powerful OPMAPS, semi -professional DAC) What happened to the Vivo one? There would be a great need ...

And what's the difference with v40 lite? Edit: it has a 2mp depth camera instead of the 8mp ultrawide in v40 lite
