vivo Y72 5G launched in India with Snapdragon 480, 90Hz refresh rate LCD
The first 5G handset in vivo’s Y-series in India is now official with the launch of the Y72 5G. The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 480 chipset instead of MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 on the global model. The rear cameras are slightly different here as well with a 48MP main shooter in place of the 64MP one on the international variant and a 2MP auxiliary snapper instead of the 8MP ultrawide. Another change comes in the screen which now sports a 90Hz refresh rate but gets a downgraded 8MP selfie cam.

The Y72 5G also sports a fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button as well as a headphone jack and 128GB internal storage which is expiable via microSD.
Sales are already underway on vivo’s online store. Pricing starts at INR 20,990 ($282) and users can choose between Prism Magic and Slate Gray colors.
