Pixty, 04 Nov 2023It's been 2 years since i posted this, time flies man.... moreMy samsung j6+ always had some problems like keyboard not working right on youtube lagging a little or restarting when phone is charging but thats normal on a 3/32 4/64 phone from 2018 (I had the 3/32 version) sure is not covering all the screen compared to vivo 1812 Y81. But phone is good for normal use or games from facebook that I moved from pc to mobile.
Now I have a Realme C55 (phone always sell for 120$ 400$ is weird) with mediatek G88 chip that I paid 165$ (G99 been better) and I like the upgrade let se how long will last this phone will last. Stil using the Samsung j6+ for normal use had a Redmi 3s 3/32GB before with many games but space been way worse and had other problems like back finger to open phone
With all the problems Y81 had I think that a phone like j6 been a better pick

I bought this second hand and I've been using this for almost 2 years now(plus for how long the previous owner have used this) .This phone is only good for light gaming, it barely lags as long as you optimize it. It never heated. The camera is decent but not the best, I usually use it for posting artwork. As for battery life, I don't like it.. it drained fast when it reaches 30% below like any other review says. Despite it's never been outdated it has a decent use for me. Overall, I'll give this 7/10

I purchased my vivo y81 in may 2019, and I'm still using it but the worst thing is that almost from the past one year my battery drains so quickly when it reches 30% and after within 8-10 min it reaches 2%. I'll say that camera is ok,not too good and it is capable of performing day to day tasks like playing music,watcing netflix,yt,insta. But when i play games like BGMI and my favourite free fire it lags. And even i can't install games like Asphalt 9 and PUBG: NEW STATE, when i try to install it goes to 100% and then cancels automatically. One can normally use it at most for 5 hours if it is fully charged. But its now outdated so it will be better to upgrade the phone.

My older gave me this phone back in 2019. The durability this phone has to this day still amazes me. Thought it was a shame that the battery drains so fast and the fact that almost all apps take too much storage made this phone not fit for the next years.
Although I have already upgraded to a better smartphone I still use this phone as the second phone whose only purpose is to play music.

I got a new phone earlier this year to replace this ol phone, which is a poco x4 gt. My new phone is much much better in all aspects but I still have my y81 as a secondary phone though. My update on it is that the battery drains fast, especially after the percentage reach roughly 25%, it will drain 3~5% per min, but that's expected for a 5 year old phone with no battery replacement. Performance wise, still okay for light usage such as watching yt, playing music or browsing the web, it will lag occasionally when i scroll through the apps but, what can i expect? Technology is evolving everyday and i have to accept that my y81 is outdated. Enjoy your day buds, if you want to save up for a new phone like i do, good luck! You will get it for sure, trust yourself

Bought this phone back in 2018 at 12k, still using it well, in fact im commenting from vivo y81 that is almost 5year old now. Love this phone, not the best but it's still one of the best one in the market at this price, camera is good if you know how to take good pictures I mean it's 13mp but works fine, front camera is also good for me but natural lighting is not that good. Overall I love this phone!

Used Vivo Y81 for 5 years. The battery lasts quickly drains when the brightness is maxed. An ok gaming performance, and an ok camera quality. It's not the best but it isn't worst. And now my phone is damage (the pin for charger)....last july 2023....

Janfanz, 05 Aug 2021do u think we can overclock this phone?try to overclock to 2.3ghz in cpu and 680mhz in gpu then you get roughly the same performance as helio p35, that chipset is an overkill in android 8 to 9 era.

I bought this unit back in 2017 and yet my phone is still running good. The only issue is that the battery is draining so fast now, it's like the full charge of a 5-yr old y81 is just 50%. When I reached 30%, the battery is like doing a countdown and a minute after, it's already 10%. I am not playing games in my phone much but I guessed it's design that way but it's still fine anyway in my day to day tasks.
