Another addition to the vivo portfolio has just been introduced in China. The vivo Z1i is an upgrade over the Z1 that was announced a month ago with a different chipset, more storage and better selfie camera. It also has a dual camera setup on the back and a notch on the screen, but at least the chin is really thin, so you get a massively tall 6.26” display.

The vivo Z1i now comes with Snapdragon 636, which is actually a downgrade compared to the 660 in the vivo Z1. While RAM stays 4 GB, internal storage is 128 GB and there is room for 256 GB microSD card in the hybrid SIM slot. The last difference is the selfie snapper - 16 MP with no shenanigans.

The vivo Z1 had a 12 MP sensor that was advertised to take 24 MP images, but we know very well that vivo is really only counting the dual pixel sensors as having twice the resolution. The rest of the vivo Z1i specs like the 3,260 mAh battery, the 19:9 ratio LCD and the FunTouch OS are the same as the vivo Z1.

The vivo Z1i is immediately available in China for CNY1,898 ($285/€245) in Black with Gold accents or Red. In the same time the vivo Z1 is discounted from CNY1,798 to CNY1,598 ($240/€210) at the vivo online store.

Can't agree more

only because it's dual pixel so it twices the resolution? what a stupid marketing. even bragging about large resolution itself is already a stupid thing.

All these Chinese OEM have become so untrustworthy with all the lies they disseminate in the name of Marketing. I becoming afraid of buying any of their smartphones.
