come on, when a snatcher snatches your phone, do they ask you if u r rich or not?
as long as they snatch a phone, it's all right, so people are practically buying phones which would hurt them less when it gets snatched or something.
imagine, you were walking down a deep dark ally holding your 8800 gold arte and it got snatched, perhaps you'd cry, but if this gets snatched from you, you can recover in just a week or so,

    :)

but they should have made this thing look more attractive,

Worst design for phone even as compared to the phone is used in 2000.

Even the gift would look like a piece of garbage when the someone hold in his/her hand.

One more thing though, i understand that this conecpt is for "poor" countries, but if you take a look at the so called "poor" countries then you see that the there is nothing wrong with the telecom market there, give the people good stuff, the can use and make that affordable (look at Alcatel and Sagem they get the idea).

I am sorry.... but c'mon, what an ungly mobile phone, i have to say, the specs are good, but I am sure with our current technology they could have a little bit more effort in to this, even Nokia can make better looing phones then this. I think, in this case, Vodafone should stay with just the 250, and through away this ugly 150... :-D

I think it's a great idea, some people can't afford the luxury of a more fancy phone and actually need it for calling instead of stupid fancy crap.

Looks like it doesn't have T9 predictive text. But it does have games!

Rather odd that they are selling it in South Africa. We have 4 Mobile Operators; Vodafone, MTN, Cell C & Virgin, WITH 2G, 3G & 3.5G Networks in most urban areas. The market is massive, with more than 83% of South Africa's population currently using mobiles. That means 40 Million people use the mobile networks.

Even in this country phones have become diposable. This will add to the rubbish heap.

                      Does this device have sms?
Well it's for poor African countries which doesn't have mobile technology now in 2010... And price of 15$ is ok...
                      It's excellent for its purpose!
