One of the best phones I ever owned I work in crushing plant there is a lot of dust and the other phones keep on packing up including Blackberry, Nokia and Samsung but not the Vodafone 555 Blue only complaint is I have got the phone for 10 months and the keypad letters and numbers are rubbing off

I bought this phone last October, this phone is good as compared to the price it offers with camera with flash.
But the hardware used in this phone is really inferior with in 8 months of purchase (in genuine use) my 555 blue has got its optical trackpad out of order, its keypad lights were fused with few working & most of switches have become hard, and whenever i used to press 8 key my phone used to switch off,thanks to vodafone 2 years replacement warranty that i have got my phone replaced, but what after 2 years.
Basically this phone works on IC which comes in most of all chinese phones, so i am nearly unable to install any java software on this phone or if i get success in installing it, never works correct, and this phone hangs a lottt mostly while messaging.
Regarding battery this phone has excellent stand by battery back up, but if u continuously talk for little longer, phone runs out off battery very soon,the only thing i liked in this phone is its look and sound clarity of loud speaker & camera with flash.

A good budget phone for those that prefer a Qwerty keyboard. Its not a Blackberry though! Btw, Alcatel is French.
