Vodafone landing HTC Desire and Legend coming in April

15 March, 2010

With Google Nexus One and Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 deals already in the bag there was no doubt that Vodafone put most of their eggs in the Android basket. As it turns out this was only the beginning as the carrier now announced its plans to add two new top of the line Android-running handsets to its shelves.

The HTC Desire and HTC Legend were two of the most interesting announcements at this year's MWC and Vodafone UK is apparently going to get them both. The latest HTC smartphones are about to hit the stores in a few weeks time and the Vodafone UK customers will be among the first to have the chance to get them.

If the 440 GBP for the HTC Desire or the 390 GBP for the Legend are more than you can afford Vodafone UK gives you the chance to save some bucks if you are willing to sign a contract.

According to the Vodafone UK website, both Android-based smartphones will become available sometime in April. However, there is still no information on the exact prices and tariffs.

It does get clear however that the HTC Legend will supposedly be sold exclusively by Vodafone at launch. We somehow wonder how they'll pull this one off as Amazon UK is promising HTC Legend availability on 1 April.

I seriously doubt it due to 02 putting all it's eggs in Iphone and Palm Pre. They actually have less choice of devices than Orange now. Vodafone are definately the way to go for techy choices

April? That'll do us fine as I know for a fact that T-Mob will be selling it next week. :)
